British trophy hunters are being allowed by the UK Government to bring home trophies of Polar bears. This is despite the fact the species is at risk of extinction due to climate change. The US Government, on the other hand, PROHIBITS American trophy hunters from bringing home Polar bear trophies due to their perilous situation.
A new report reveals that the bodies, skins, feet and teeth of Polar bears have been imported into Britain as ‘personal’ items and for commercial trade. It also says that Canada still permits Polar bear trophy hunting – despite being banned in the US and Russia.
