Trophy hunters shot almost 2,500 monkeys last year. A new report has revealed the identities of British trophy hunters who have shot hundreds of monkeys – for sport, souvenirs and selfies.

The report comes amid the failure of Government Ministers to answer questions from MPs about when it intends to implement its manifesto promise to ban trophy hunting imports into the UK.

Opinion polls show that a ban – first promised by Liz Truss and Rory Stewart in 2015, just after the killing of Cecil the lion – has the support of 9 out of 10 voters, as well as parties across the political spectrum.
