Across the UK, companies are still profiting from one of the cruellest trades imaginable — the sale of trophy hunting experiences. These businesses enable British hunters to travel abroad, or even take part in hunts involving captive-bred animals, purely for sport and status.

We believe this has no place in a country that prides itself on compassion and conservation. That’s why we’re calling on MPs to take action.

We’re asking Members of Parliament to urge the Secretary of State for Defra, Emma Reynolds MP, to shut down Britain’s trophy hunting companies.

One of the worst offenders is Blackthorn Safaris, based in Shropshire. This company sells:

  • Captive-bred lions and lionesses for British hunters to shoot inside fenced enclosures

  • Hunting trips targeting elephants, hippos, zebras, and crocodiles

  • Experiences that even allow children to take part

These activities are a stain on the UK’s reputation for animal welfare and environmental responsibility. No child should ever be taught that killing wild animals is entertainment — and no company should profit from such cruelty.

We’ve written to MPs across the country with a clear message: it’s time to end Britain’s role in the global trophy hunting trade.

You can help by contacting Emma Reynolds MP, asking her to take immediate action to shut down these companies and ensure the UK is no longer complicit in this industry.

Together, we can make sure Britain stands firmly on the side of wildlife protection, not exploitation.
