One of the most popular animals shot by British trophy hunters are Hippopotamuses. Of the trophies entering Britain from species CITES considers endangered, Hippos are second only to African elephants.

In a new report, the Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting reveals that British trophy hunters are shooting them in large numbers for their teeth, skins, skulls and tusks… and that they also kill them to use as bait to lure leopards.
